Christmas On The Square
Enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of Christmas at this holiday season tradition in the historic heart of Mesquite!
THE FUN BEGINS AT 5 P.M.
- Grounds open
- Free cocoa and cookies will be served while supplies last
- Santa on-site to visit with the kids
- Various live entertainment
- The gift market opens with booths presented by Downtown Mesquite Farmers Market vendors
TREE-LIGHTING CEREMONY 6 P.M.
- Mayor Dan Aleman opens the tree-lighting ceremony
- “12 Days of Downtown Mesquite” sung by the audience, prompted with placards displayed on stage
- City Council and MISD student representatives gather on stage to hit the button that lights the Christmas tree for the first time in the season
- Ceremony concludes
- Live music continues until 8 p.m.
- Free Downtown Mesquite ornaments will be distributed while supplies last
